Engaging our community

Our congregation is committed to loving Lubbock and to bettering our community in a variety of ways. We regularly serve around our church neighborhood, from Honey Elementary to our local firehouse. Throughout the school year, our "Night Owls" ministry provides parents of special needs children a night out. We have partnered with Texas Tech students to care for and bless these wonderful kids. Also, our church is dedicated to serving alongside "Family Promise," a local ministry lifting entire families out of poverty.   Below you can see highlights of how our church is loving and serving those in our community.

The Kingdom of God is active, and we encourage our members to dream of ways to care for Lubbock and our neighbors.

Family Promise of lubbock

Raintree is committed to working within the Lubbock Community to serve and love others. One of our partners in our missional efforts is Family Promise of Lubbock. Family Promise of Lubbock's mission is to provide homeless families with children the tools necessary to achieve long term financial, parental and personal self-sufficiency through a comprehensive program of temporary housing, case management and supportive services. Honey Elementary

Honey Elementary is our neighborhood school. Raintree shows love to the teachers and students at Honey by providing treats for the teachers throughout the year. We provide volunteers for the Fall Festival so teachers are free to enjoy the festival with their students. The Kindergarten and 1st grade classes have end of year parties at the Raintree building.

night O.W.L.S.

Night O.W.L.S. gives us opportunity to do both.  Night O.W.L.S. is a parent’s night out for children with special needs. Raintree hosts Night O.W.L.S. the last Friday evening of each month.

Local Firestations

By providing treats for the Fire Fighters, dropping by to check on them and other connections we let them know that we appreciate their service to our community.
